Overview

The innovative Lumii Aerotube was designed with a specific purpose in mind, the alleviate heat issues caused by the heat created by grow lamps. Its specialized design allows it to be connected to ducting and a fan, this allows air to flow through the reflector, taking the heat directly out of your growing area before it has chance to raise the temperature. It comes in 3 sizes (125mm, 150mm and 200mm) and also has a removable lamp holder for easy access to the lamp and cleaning. It has 2 part external reflector and a lengthy 4m cable.

The clever design means the Aerotubes can be linked together, Lumii recommend putting up to 3 inline.

Growing Area Heat Issues

Plants are like children. They respond best to a consistent environment. What constitutes the best grow room environment can vary from plant variety to plant variety, but will often conform to a temperature range of between 70 and 80°F for aerial growth, and around 66°F for root growth.

When plants become overheated, they begin to show signs of stress. Heat stress can result in spindly young plants and mature plants that fail to flower or fruit properly. Excessive heat also makes plants more susceptible to disease, and a hydroponic set-up can provide the conditions necessary for destructive micro-organisms to thrive. High temperatures can also affect leaf and flower formations, as well as final bud flavours and potency.

Keep the air inside your growroom moving around and among plants to avoid hot spots, aid in photosynthesis and help produce specimens that have stronger stems and leaves. In nature, plants aren’t motionless.

Coming in 3 sizes the Lumii Envirogro T5 light gives flexibility and high-quality performance. They are low power, fluorescent light which barely gives off any heat while still giving high lumen output. They are lightweight, easy to use, cheap to run and give an even spread of light. Each light comes with a power cord and suspension cables. It has powder coated pre-galvanised steel housing and has a low profile. The EnviroGro by LUMii T5 System hangs three ways overhead, vertically or horizontally. There is an on/off switch on one end. The EnviroGro by LUMii 4ft (122cm) 8 lamp T5 Light features separate power switches, this allows you to use either the outer 2 lamps alone, the inside 4 lamps alone or ALL 8 lamps together for more control for you!

The Lumii Digita Ballast is a fully electronic ballast and comes with 600w plus boost. Its controlled by a micro-processor and works at a higher frequency (hertz) than the magnetic ballasts meaning that your plants receive more light. Its more energy efficient than a standard magnetic ballast and will give out more lumens to your plants. You can use different size lamps as the ballast dims down to 250w or 400w. It also has a boost setting for each lamp size meaning you can take complete control of the light output. It is one of the most silent running ballasts on the market, with no hum or vibration. It is compact, stays cool and is lightweight at only 3kg, compared with 8kg for a 600w magnetic ballast. The Lumii Digita ballasts have built in safety features that protect the units circuitry if any short is detected. When the ballast detects an abnormal input or output voltage due to an old or damaged lamp, it will not attempt to ignite the bulb.
