Overview
This fertilizer blend is made up of three components. It is can be used on earth and optimally Rock Wool. , It is perfect for Hydroponische systems. The three-component in the vegetative and flowering periods in a variety of conditions.
NPK 4.5 – 0-1
Micro is a concentrated nutrient mix of chelate Micro Elements, which, together with special pH buffers to prevent the additional growth power and the pH value game.
Advanced Hydroponics of Holland Dutch Formula 3 Micro is part of a 3 part base nutrient feed and available individually at GTP Hydroponics should you need to replace just one bottle.
Dutch Formula 3 Micro is just one part of AHOH 3 part feed so we would always recommend using them together, but as we all know we use nutrients at different rates so this could be used as a replacement.
Dutch Formula 3 Micro contains a strong mix of micronutrients that provide extra power and strength to your plants throughout every stage of their lifecycle. The micro mix of nutrients is designed to create a strong, healthy plant with fast growth and lush green leaves which can be used with any substrate and when mixed with water gives rich and balanced nutrition to your plants.
Usage:
- 0.5ml/L during the first two growth weeks and increase the dosage to 1ml/L until the end of the growth period.
- 1ml/7L during the flowering period.
Conversions: 1 Teaspoon = 5mL | 1 Tablespoon = 15 mL | 1 Ounce = 30mL | 1 Cup = 240 mL
The Science
As tricky as providing the right nutrition for soil-based plants can be, the process is more challenging with a hydroponic garden. A hydroponic set-up is a simulated environment where nutrient recipes have to be water-soluble, complete and stable. In other words, almost everything hydroponic plants need to flourish has to be provided artificially in a water-soluble form.
Plants need different nutrients at different stages of growth. They may also have special requirements depending on the nature of their native soils or the demands of their unique features and characteristics. This might sound complicated, but most nutrient manufacturers have done the hard work for you by developing complete products that address the general needs of most plants. They also sell special formulas optimized for different stages of growth and to meet the unique needs of specific types of plants, like tomatoes or orchids, for instance. These formulas can include enhancements that encourage specific desirable characteristics like improved flavor, better color or a stronger scent.
Hydroponic nutrient formulas are proprietary, but the recipes conform to our general understanding of when, how and how much of a particular nutrient a plant will need as it matures. For example, let’s look at the macronutrients nitrogen and phosphorus. Plants require both of these nutrients to perform essential functions throughout their lives. They’re always important, but during leaf development, nitrogen demand increases dramatically, and phosphorus is particularly useful during bud growth, flowering, and seed development. The optimal ratios vary. You’ll see this on soil fertilizers, where the first two numbers on the front of the bag will change depending on their nitrogen and phosphorus content by weight. Plants also use these macronutrients in combination. Among its many roles, phosphorus helps plant roots to absorb nitrogen more effectively. This kind of interdependence isn’t uncommon and isn’t limited to the plant world, either. In the human body, vitamin D and magnesium aid in calcium absorption and retention.
Testimonials
Rachael:
“Absolutely brilliant so far. Been using them for four weeks in a deep water culture system and the plants have grown like crazy with no side effects. I’ve grown 2 plants in soil alongside 6 plants in DWC and the difference is staggering. The DWC plants have shot up like they’ve taken steroids whereas the soil grown plants are at least a month behind in growth rate. Brilliant product so far.”
Dianne:
“ Have only just started using the first bottle for seedlings and appears to be doing the job ,strong healthy growth, am using on a lot of my young pot plants and some I have in my garden. At the moment happy with the initial results”

“No issues would happily purchase again…“
In 1993, Jay Jackson, founder and current Director of Advanced Hydroponics of Holland, was committed to finding an alternative to the then available fertilizers that he and many other growers had been using. Jay searched for a formula that would combine: easy use, high efficiency, and competitive pricing. In order to obtain the solution, Jay went to the experts at the “Dutch Flower Nutrient Research Center” in the Dutch city of Aalsmeer. To make the use as simple as possible, it was necessary to present the components in a way that allows easy mixing, so that any grower can easily adjust the volumes of the most necessary nutrients according to their needs. So, Dutch Formula was born! It is a liquid fertilizer consisting of three components which are to be mixed in an easy ratio of: 2:1:1 in the growing period, 1:2:1 in the pre-flowering period, and finally 0:3:1 in the period of full bloom. At first, the fertilizers were tested by Jay together with many of his fellow growers. The results were OUTSTANDING ! These results were not possible with the former fertilizers. Once perfected, the retail shop was started. In 1996, the Dutch Formula was presented at a trade show in Germany and the superior quality of Dutch Formula fertilizers together with growing demand led to the start of the wholesale business throughout all of Europe.
The Dutch Formula line was soon expanded by a 100% all natural line of “Natural Power” which included a “Root Stimulator”, enzymatic supplement called “Enzymes”, a GrowthBloom Stimulator called “Excellerator”, and finally a product for maturing called “Final”. Following “Natural Power”, the popular “Aqua system” made it’s way to the Wholesale and Distributor line up.
Currently, more than 60 distributors in 22 countries around the world (including Russia and Japan) are supplying the Advanced Hydroponics of Holland products, and the number of distributors and retail shops continues to grow. Around the world, tens of thousands of growers, including the world renown Howard Marks (Mr. Nice) R.I.P. as well as Scott Blakie (Shantibaba) using Dutch Formula and Natural Power products. Plants grown with the help of our fertilizers.
Even considering the great success of our fertilizers, our company continues to strive for further improvements and new products in close cooperation with Dr. Nicolas Stutterheim, Ph.D., a biochemist and renowned European specialist on plant nutrition.
