Botanicare – Clearex
- Removes excess mineral salts by dissolving them on contact
- Brings the best out of your chosen plant strain in terms of flavour
- Highly effective in any growing medium or system that’s used with mineral-based fertiliser
- Preserves the integrity of root hairs
- Loaded with electrolytes, preventing stress while flushing
- Contains mono and disaccharides, providing energy for the biosynthesis of metabolites and macromolecules
- Cuts a two-week flush down to a single week
Clearex was designed for the periodic rinsing and removal of excess salt buildup in container gardens and hydroponic systems. Many growers agree that a pre-harvest flush is crucial for improving the flavours of dried herbs/flowers.
Many flushing products require a 10-14 day window prior to harvest which reduces the crucial terpene production time in crops. Clearex requires a smaller 3-7 day window prior to harvest so growers can continue to maximize the yield and potency of their crops without jeopardizing flavour.
Mix 2 tsp (5ml) of Clearex per gallon of water. Use Clearex with pure water only. Mix well and adjust pH.
Between nutrient changes: Drain all existing nutrient solution. Add only Clearex and fresh water and allow to re-circulate in your system for approximately two hours. Drain completely and refill the reservoir with fresh nutrient solution.
Pre-harvest: Drain all existing nutrient solution. Refill reservoir with Clearex and fresh water only. Begin running this solution during the last 3 – 7 days before harvest during the ripening phase.
For container gardens:
Between nutrient changes: Drench thoroughly with Clearex solution until there is 20 – 40% runoff from the bottom of the pot. Resume regular feeding with your next scheduled watering.
Pre-harvest: Drench daily until 10 – 20% runoff is achieved from the container. Begin running this solution during the last 3 – 7 days before harvest during the ripening phase.
Conversions: 1 Teaspoon = 5mL | 1 Tablespoon = 15 mL | 1 Ounce = 30mL | 1 Cup = 240 mL
A common cause of crop failure can be traced to the buildup of nutrient salt deposits in soils or soilless grow media. High salt concentrations in the soil solution cause a shrinkage of plant cell protoplasm away from the cell wall as a result of osmosis. This condition, known as plasmolysis, can eventually lead to irreversible wilting.
Botanicare Clearex is a scientifically formulated isotonic drench solution, which effectively binds with the excess nutrient salt and safely leaches it from the soil. Leaching with tap or deionized water can lead to hypotonic conditions which cause cell lysis with outflow of essential electrolytes and nutrients. This causes tissue damage leading to serious pathogen disorders such as bacterial and fungal infections. Clearex is isotonic, therefore, it creates a safe osmotic environment which allows plant cells to maintain an optimal turgor pressure during treatment.
Clearex can also be used at the end of a crop’s growth cycle to trigger the last reproductive stage of the plant, forcing it to process and assimilate endogenous nutrients. Clearex contains specific electrolytes and selected mono and disaccharides which provide energy for the biosynthesis of important plant metabolites and macromolecules. Pre harvest treatments with Clearex are known to enhance the flavor and increase yields in fruits, vegetables, and culinary herbs by flushing out extraneous chemical nutrients.
“This stuff works for those who have too much salt in their soil either from over-fertilizing (the by-product of the after-effects of using bag fertilizer) or from the water supply you have. This rinsing solution breaks down the salt and allows your plants and trees to start re-uptaking their water and nutrients so you don’t have plants or trees with small leaves or plants and trees that look half-dead.”
“I applied Clearex using a small 3/4 fertilizer injector once this season. After I started fertilizing again, I could tell my plants had more vigorous growth than before using this product. Do you go through a good amount for your regular size yard.”
“Botanicare did a great job with this one. This really binds to remaining nutes in the soil and does a great job at getting them out quickly, allowing you to flush not only during flower but any time you get a lock out.“
As plant cultivation experts, Botanicare is dedicated to providing superior products, expert advice and support to help growers produce better crops.
What started as an experimental plant nutrient, Pure Blend (now Pure Blend Tea), brewed in the back room of an Arizona retail gardening store has evolved into Botanicare, a market leader in hydroponic products. After 20 years of innovation, foresight and unconventional thought we have seen the industry and our company blossom. We are committed to finding new ways to encourage growers to do what they do best – grow.
BOTANICARE HISTORY – 20 YEARS AND STILL GROWING.
Treg Bradley is passionate about plant cultivation. In 1992, his hobby bloomed into a career when he opened a store in Tempe, Arizona called “Sea of Green”, which catered to Hydrogardening enthusiasts and provided everything from hydroponics equipment to organic nutrient solutions.
AN EXPERIMENTAL PLANT NUTRIENT.
Treg’s expanding nutrient knowledge and sheer desire to provide customers with the best products on the market were driving factors in creating what would eventually become Botanicare. As part of an experimental new approach to address the needs of local growers, he developed a unique organic plant supplement that he called Pure Blend. He literally brewed it in the back room of his store and gave Pure Blend to several of his favourite customers, asking them to give it a try. His customers were encouraged to return to the store with empty bottles to get refills – and they did in droves. After rave reviews, he bottled it with the name Pure Blend Original and began to sell it.
As demand for Pure Blend grew retailers began to contact Treg to see if they could order Pure Blend for their stores. Encouraged by the success of Pure Blend, he developed an additional product line called Pure Blend Pro.
By 1996 Sea of Green opened two additional stores in Arizona and the success of the Pure Blend line inspired Bradley to focus his efforts solely on developing new products. He sold the Sea of Green stores and incorporated American Agritech in Tempe, Arizona and launched its primary product line: Botanicare.
With a 20-year history as a leader in the Hydroponic industry, Botanicare offers a comprehensive range of hydroponic products bringing the freedom and flexibility of growing-your-own to consumers around the world.
