Overview
Growth Technology – Liquid Silicon provides your plants with soluble silica – a naturally occurring substance found in soil that strengthens and boosts your plants in a number of beneficial ways. Stronger stems, better disease and drought resistance and increased nutrient uptake!
Elemental Silicon is a highly beneficial plant nutrient. It has a proven role in cell wall formation, offering mechanical strength to the cells and therefore to the entire plant. Additions of Liquid Silicon to the nutrient tank will deliver bushier plants with darker foliage.
Liquid Silicon should be used during vegetative growth and right through flowering to strengthen the cell walls of the plants, giving noticeably stronger, thicker stems and a healthier root zone. Liquid Silicon also aids with the uptake of available nutrients, improves CO2 absorption and increases chlorophyll production giving overall bigger, stronger and healthier plants with improved resistance to pests and diseases, such as mites, fungi and mildew.
Usage:
Use Growth Technology – Liquid Silicon right the way through the plant’s life from cutting to harvest. Liquid Silicon is suitable for use with plants grown in any medium and in any type of grow-system. Use 1ml/Litre of nutrient solution/feed but mix the Liquid Silicon very thoroughly in 5 litres of water before adding it to your reservoir or feeding water to ensure that it will be distributed evenly within the reservoir. Liquid Silicon will increase the TDS (CF/EC/PPM) and also the pH of your nutrient solution. It will be necessary to adjust the TDS and pH back to the correct levels after adding it.
As with all nutrients, boosters and additives, never mix them together in their concentrated form (i.e. straight out of the bottle). Always add each nutrient, booster or additive to your reservoir or feed water, in turn, giving the solution a good stir to mix it in before adding the next one.
Aggressives are types of substance which can cause damage to skin and clothing and can cause burns. This group of products includes, but is not limited to, pH Up (potassium hydroxide), pH Down (nitric acid, phosphoric acid, citric acid), Liquid oxygen (hydrogen peroxide) and products containing liquid forms of silica/silicon. Always add straight to your reservoir water and mix well straight away. Do not mix aggressive substances with any other product while in their concentrated form. When using, always wear suitable protection (gloves, goggles etc.) and keep out of the reach of children at all times.
Recommended dosage – 1ml/Litre
Conversions: 1 Teaspoon = 5mL | 1 Tablespoon = 15 mL | 1 Ounce = 30mL | 1 Cup = 240 mL
The Science
Growth Technology – Liquid Silicon is a very effective plant improver for use right the way through your grow from cutting to harvest. Growth Technology Liquid Silicon provides your plants with a form of soluble silica which is a naturally occurring substance found in soils. It is used by plants to strengthen cell-walls which increases plants resistance to fungi and insects. Liquid Silicon helps to build noticeably stronger and thicker stems and roots and helps with the uptake of nutrients and absorption of CO2. Growth Technology – Liquid Silicon reduces the water loss through leaves (transpiration) which can help guard against wilting. Liquid Silicon is also highly alkaline and so can be used to increase pH of nutrient solutions.
Silicon bolsters cell walls and the bonds between them. This makes it tougher for pests and diseases to get a foothold & spread.
On top of this, plants are able to create a thick outer coating that bugs won’t break through (even aphids & spider mites). Diseases won’t fare much better – that includes powdery mildew, Pythium (root rot) & botrytis (bud rot).
When plants take in silicon, they’ve got about 24 hours to decide where to put it (between or in cell walls). Silicon deposits then set in place – like cement! As a result, cells become thicker and stronger.
All areas of your plant are affected – roots, stems, branches, leaves.
Testimonials
Timmy:
“Last year in autumn I cleared a new space in my garage and set it up as an indoor garden. From GoneToPot I purchased a whole range of googdies to get me started. I have been delighted with the results, having crops grow big and fruitful (and many weeks to come). I will extend the indoor garden next year to my second garage because I love doing it.”
P.Wadie:
“Thank you so much for the last parcel of my order which arrived today. I would like to say how impressed I am with your service – everything arrived beautifully packed and in good order – it was a joy to open the parcels of liquid silicone. Best service I have ever received from a hydro company. Thanks again.”
George Mill:
“ May I take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful service. I have been so pleased with the nutrients and soil which I have ordered. In my mid eighties still with a new found passion for my indoor garden and unable to get to go outside much. I have found your products, help and the way they arrive excellent“
