Plant Works Rootgrow has been optimized to provide the benefits of mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria in hydroponic media. These organisms live symbiotically with roots, protecting against pathogens and facilitating an increase in nutrient absorption. Expect to see an improvement in growth rates at all stages and all-around happier plants with greater resistance to drought and disease.
Apply Rootgrow when potting up by sprinkling it evenly around the transplanting hole in your substrate. Ensure that it makes contact with the surface of the root system to help the mycelium and beneficial bacteria take hold. Rootgrow is supplied with its own 10ml scoop, enabling it to be measured out quickly and easily.

Rootgrow has been formulated after a rigorous program of research and development. The formula has been optimized to provide all of the advantages of using mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria to growers working in hydroponic media, such as coco coir, rockwool, clay pebbles and perlite.
Relatively recent scientific developments shed light on the symbiotic relationship between plants and fungi, highlighting the importance of mycelial (fungal) networks to your plants’ rhizosphere (root-zone area). Mycorrhizal fungi works with root systems by drawing a small percentage of the plant’s essential sugars (formed by the process of photosynthesis) for their energy supply. In return, the mycelium creates a defensive fortress around roots, increasing the surface area and improving nutrient uptake and resistance to drought and disease. Because these networks rely on essential plant sugars, we recommend pairing mycorrhizal treatments with a carbohydrate supplement such as Humboldt Nutrients Honey Hydro or Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy. That way, you’ll experience all of the benefits of mycorrhizae with none of the drawbacks!
The Rhizobacteria in Rootgrow have a similar relationship with roots, creating highly available forms of macronutrients (particularly nitrogen) in return for steady access to amino acids. These properties facilitate an improvement in overall growth and vigour.
