After years of testing and development, the next generation of root boosters is finally here! This is the one everybody’s been talking about and we have little doubt that Katana Roots will establish itself at the forefront of all root products. Successful growers understand that healthy roots are the key to healthy plants and huge crops. Katana Roots works by boosting overall root development and helping to protect the rhizosphere from diseases like pythium. This ensures that nutrients are delivered to the plant as efficiently as possible, for healthy and robust plants.
Shogun Fertilisers Katana Roots is no ordinary root booster before it hit the market, Katana Roots has been through rigorous development and testing to ensure that it performs to the same high standard that other Shogun Fertilisers products are now renowned for.
Katana Roots by Shogun Fertilisers works by targeting the root zone to promote not only rapid growth but also healthy and strong white roots. Healthy roots mean that any available nutrients are easily absorbed and used by the plant, resulting in healthy flowers, fruits and vegetables.
Katana Roots can be used at the propagation stage by soaking rooting cubes (rockwool, root riots etc) in the solution. Once established, continue to use Katana Roots throughout the vegetative stage and up to the 3rd week of flowering, as when used as a nutrient additive, it will also help with the continued development of a healthy root system.
For speeding up turnaround times for cuttings and seedlings, and improving success rates, soak your rooting plugs in a solution of water and Katana Roots. Use at a ratio of 5.0ml Katana Roots per litre of water and soak plugs for 15 minutes to ensure even saturation. Squeeze off some of the excesses to prevent the plugs from becoming waterlogged.
You should add Katana Roots alongside your base nutrient at a rate of 0.2ml per litre of nutrient solution. Run it throughout the veg stages and for the first three weeks of the flowering stages.
Conversions: 1 Teaspoon = 5mL | 1 Tablespoon = 15 mL | 1 Ounce = 30mL | 1 Cup = 240 mL
The team at Shogun set out with a simple, yet highly ambitious brief: to create the most effective nutrient range on the market for a price that’s affordable to every grower. It was a task that required extensive research and development, but after numerous side-by-side tests and detailed analysis of other leading plant nutrition products, they’ve managed to deliver a range that sits proudly alongside the very finest high-end nutrient lines, and at a fraction of the cost. Connoisseur growers often select flagship nutrients from various companies and combine them to create their ideal nutrient regimen. With Shogun, you can achieve the same effect by simply sticking to their complete range, knowing that each component product has been formulated to compete with the very best alternatives available.
Katana Roots performs three main roles that will ensure that your indoor garden functions as productively as possible. Firstly, it acts as a root stimulator encouraging the growth of new roots, which greatly improves success rates for your cuttings and seedlings. It also works to improve overall root health, which ensures that nutrients are uptaken by the plant as efficiently and effectively as possible. The combined effect of this is greater resistance to the pathogenic bacteria and fungi responsible for root diseases like pythium. Pythium can turn healthy root systems into a brown, sludge-like mess in no time at all. Using a root health product like Katana is a sensible move for any grower and will pay dividends in any medium, but it’s particularly important for those running hydroponic systems, which can be more vulnerable to pathogens, especially if nutrient temps creep above the recommended limit of 21 degrees Celsius.
“This line of plant food is simply AMAZING! My corn and tomato plants were pale greenish yellow. I fed this and the CalMag Plant nutrition to my plants, and they literally were greener the next morning. It’s been two weeks since I started using these products and my corn is now 9ft high and very healthy looking and little corn cobs are now emerging. My tomato plants are now green and producing lots of tomatoes. I also put these products in all my potted plants outside and they are amazingly so green and healthy looking, the colors on the flowers are vibrant and beautiful. My son told me about this line and I’m so glad he did. I’ve NEVER had plants respond so well to a plant food. I also put these products in my house plants. I have two bamboo plants that just didn’t do much and were very pale green. I put a little of this stuff in all of my houseplants and now they’re green and growing. I’m so happy I ordered these.”
“Nice root development. Works well in a coco peat mix. Super quick delivery and a great price.”
“Gon to pot hydropnics has really great products. I have tried a few different products now but I have come back to shogun nutes at the end of it all. They all work very well from my perspective“
About Shogun Fertilisers
When it comes to feeding your plants and getting maximum performance and yield, we don’t like to cut any corners. SHOGUN Fertilisers was born out of a desire to create something special, something new for the hydroponics market. Not just another basic set of feeds, but something truly exceptional borne out of years of research, development and commercial application. We’re a UK company with a wealth of experience of what growers really want from their nutrients and additives and have created a range of products that combines exceptional performance with great value dilution rates.
Our current product range includes a series of additives as well as our newly released Hydro and Coco nutrients and we have plans to further expand this range as future products pass through our rigorous development and testing procedures.
There’s a world of difference between a basic NPK nutrient and the products we create. Sure we could have put a few basic mineral salts into a bottle, but that’s not what we’re about. Our products have to be better than what’s already available or we simply don’t release them. Our experience in commercial horticulture and our research led approach to product development means that our products are technically superior in almost every single way. Innovative developments such as SmartZen and AquaZen are simply light years ahead of anything else available and these are just a tiny part of our base nutrient! SmartZen is an amazing additive that improves plant performance by up to 8% over a standard NPK formula nutrient. AquaZen is an unbelievable additive found in our coco nutrients that actually slows down the flow of water through the media for superior media wetting, less waste and higher nutrient absorption potential. It is these kinds of innovations that set us apart and it is these kinds of developments that we are constantly striving to bring to our range.
